Kramer "Walker" Guitars

There is an interesting story behind this catalog/guitar line. Peter LaPlaca (former Kramer co-founder) stated that these wood neck concept guitars were designed in order to keep from cannibalizing the aluminum neck market Kramer had established. In turn, they developed them under a different name. It is unknown how many (if any) of these guitars were produced and sent to market, but its interesting either way. Another interesting note about the Walkers is that a former Kramer employee (Steve ez on the forum) stated that the replica that Kramer and Eddie produced utilized a Walker body (its a real Strat shape, not the deeper tummy cut Kramer body as seen on later Pacers and Barettas). If you check out the Simply Best Guitar ad with Eddie, you can see that it is a real Strat "Walker" body.

Notice how this catalog also has the birth of the Kramer Pacer (in a different form).
