Input
Jacks and Plates
Listed
here are some common input jacks. Listed here are mostly plates because
standard input jacks on most Kramers were mono.
|
Canon
Jack (no
plate)
Probably the most common of all input jacks on Kramers. The holes
for these jacks were drilled just big enough for the jack to fit
into the hole without a face plate. If you see an American Series
guitar without this jack, more than likely it is not an American
Series guitar (with the exceptions below). Some canon jacks were
stereo, some were mono and were featured in black or chrome. |
|
Strat
Cup (Face mount)
Used on Pacer Deluxe and "The Pacer", these mounted directly
to the front of the guitar body like a Fender Strat. The Classic
I and F3000 (overseas) featured one as well as did some Strikers. |
|
Standard
Jack (Face mount, no plate)
I n the aluminum realm, the DMZ 1000, 3000, 4000 and early 6000
basses featured the face jack. Also all the XKGs had a face jack(XKG's
were all single pickup guitars). In the wood neck era, the face
jacks were mostly found on the single pickup models, the early Pacer
Special, Vanguard Special, Voyager Special, and single pickup Dukes. |
|
Oval
Plate (Nightswan)
Sort of an off-shoot for Kramer, the Nightswans featured input jacks
with oval plates. |
*
Note - Most overseas models feature the input jack with the rectangular
plate.
